Word(s) of the Day

Ashʉ́r and Ashʉrakɨ́

ashʉ́r: “to take shelter from the rain.”

ashʉ́rakɨ́: “to go daringly out, not minding the rain.”

These words are just beautiful.

(Oh, in some contexts the latter is its own antonym, meaning “to take shelter under [something],” as one does during a heavy rain.)  Language is so much fun.
